JANOSKY-Ivan "Doc" Janosky Pasadena -- "Doc" Janosky, born Nov. 3rd, 1915 in Connell, WA died June 26th, 2003, in Pasadena, where he resided for more than 70 years. A family doctor, Doc touched the lives of many, both locally and in more than 50 countries across the globe, where he had travelled and provided missionary work. From 1942-1946 Doc served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force, in both Military Intelligence and a B-24 Bomber Squadron. He received his M.D. from Kansas State University in 1956, and remained active in medicine for more than 40 years, publishing neurological research, opening a private practice, and staffing several Southern California hospitals. For the last 13 years, Doc was especially active in aiding the Pasadena homeless via the Helping Hands and 'Church In The Park' programs. He had been honored for this work and dedication at First Church of the Nazarene just a few weeks ago. Doc is survi ved by his five children, Donna Ragan, Sherry Amen, James Janosky, Azure Janosky, and Jami Janosky, and his two grandchildren, Jillian and Jason Janosky. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2nd at Lee Chapel, First Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Church of the Nazarene, designated for Church in The Park Ministry.
