 | 1859 Kammerlader - Norwegian breech loader Thore Larsen Døving was a gunsmith in the mid 1800's. It is believed that Thore made the gun pictured. It is about a .75 caliber breech loader. It was hidden from the Germans during WWII and only recently discovered on a family farm in southwest Valldal Norway. Bruce Stennett's mother told him that Thore made firearms for the royalty at Kongsvinger where he would go "sporting" with the King of Sweden. On the chamber block is inscribed T. Doving 1859. |
